preschool cuties | madison, wi children’s photographer

My little guy Simon “graduated” from preschool in May and as a gift to his class, I created a musical slideshow with images from each of his sweet classmates. And oh yes…you can bet the mommas and I did have a serious boo hoo over that one! Hope you enjoy the sampling of these below.

I really love shooting for progressive schools interested in a more modern, natural take on the traditional student portrait and look forward to doing so with one or two in the fall. If you are local and know of a preschool ready to move forward with this exciting new style of school portraiture, please let them know where to find me! I am already booking up for fall preschool sessions, but do still have some availability and would be thrilled to discuss the details.

I know, I know. I’ve been a naughty, ne’er-do-well blogger lady. So sorry, friends, for ditching you temporarily. This crazy life of mine…wowzers. On my hamster wheel with no relief in sight!

Anyhoo…I promise to share oodles of updates here in the weeks to come, including (but not limited to) the incredibly entertaining tornado of a day I spent at Oompa Toys in Middleton last week. Lucky me was joined by a spectacular & constant stream of delightful babies, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged kids as they (and their generous parents) participated in the mini-session photo event to raise funds for Operation Smile. In all, $1300 was generated, translating into surgeries for 5 children who desperately need healing. All of the families, 5 local photographers & magnificent Oompa staff had a fantastic time AND we helped some very deserving little ones. AMAZING.

Lots of images from the 15 glorious children I got to meet that day coming soon. For now, just a sneaker peeker for you. Cutie pie Sterre (and her meandering tongue) just kills me. Such a sweetheart!

Since I take a limited number of sessions in the summer (because of both my commitments to my own family and to offering an incredible, personalized & unique photography experience to yours), I thought it only appropriate to give you all a little heads up…

I am now officially booking summer sessions!

They tend to fill up quickly and I’d sure hate for you to miss out, so you might want to get in touch with me, oh maybe, NOW if you’d like to get in on the action. I’ll make you a deal: you bring the sunblock and summer attitude, I’ll bring my camera and complete dedication to a fun, amazing time. Sound good?

I am honored and thrilled to be one of several local photographers chosen to participate in the Oompa Beautiful Baby Photo Fundraiser, teaming up with the hip and fabulous OOMPA store in Middleton to support Operation Smile. What an incredible event it’s shaping up to be!

lights, camera…dentistry! | madison commercial photographer

My friends at Door Creek Dental (highlighted here last spring) recently shot a commercial celebrating their fabulous service and asked me to document the festivities. A fun time was had by all, with lots of laughter and excitement filling the office. You can see the beautiful result of all that preparation and hoopla here.

And like me, Door Creek Dental has finally joined the modern world! Now you can follow them on Twitter and become their friend on Facebook. Also took it upon myself to steal some of the “talent” away for a little mini-shoot. First up was this gorgeous and delightful family of gigglers. Those boys were the cutest little guys ever and get a load of stunning big sister Mallory…wow! Again, loving my job.

So remember the gorgeous momma I mentioned in this post? Well, here she is in all her glory. Told ya. And her husband’s not exactly chopped liver, either. Holy moly.
