OK, folks…back to blogging some [ahem, autumn] sessions! One of my New Year’s resolutions is to be more organized and much, much better at time management, as I am a certified procrastinator by nature. And so, it begins today! Let’s just pretend you haven’t noticed that this is actually the 3rd of January and not the 1st, when resolutions would normally get put into action. I told you, I am bad.
The day I photographed darling 1-year-old Isabella and her sweet, welcoming, striking parents Sarah & Josh it was an incredibly rare day in Wisconsin. Over 80 degrees in mid October, guys. Unheard of! Warm, golden, gorgeous air created the perfect environment for our session together, as we leisurely ventured into their lovely backyard to play and chat and laugh. Sarah had gathered some of the most incredibly stylish clothes for Miss Isabella and we got a kick out of seeing her try out her brand-new skill (walking!) in these adorable little outfits. [If you’ve not been to this site yet, you must. The stuff is scary cute.]
Here’s what we learned outside:
Sometimes 1-year-olds want to wear clothes and sometimes they don’t. Sometimes they just want to giggle and poke at their funny little bellies. Thumbs taste pretty good. You may not think you like the idea of a soapy outdoor bathtub very much. But then you splash at the bubbles a bit, see that it is magical and climb right in. Cats are very interesting to watch. Dogs and ladies with cameras are silly. Mommies and daddies are the best friends you could ever have.
This was the beauty of our day together. Bliss.
